Old and New

A quick hi.

As you may have noticed, I did a merging of my old Bebengisms page and the new Royal Domesticity page. But since the old one has more followers, Facebook chose to keep it. The number of likes merged but sadly, the photos didn't. Huhu. With that said, I'll be reposting photos on the page from my IG in the coming days as to kind of update that part of my cyber home. Please bear with my throwbacks and flashbacks and senti moments, mmkay?

Anyway, the merging of pages symbolizes that I'll be back to my old blogger self but with a new vision for the blog. No, not going back to doing coverage of events one day after another or having a slew of giveaway in a week (please do not unlike, haha). Instead, there will be stories of our simple and small family life that revolve around our dreams, the drama that pops in from time to time, and the delicious food we ate in between dealing with all those. 

I started incorporating the feels in May last year when I did a quiet rebranding. Kim and I were talking about our future plans for our online career when I suddenly realized how Bebengisms had made a recall. Perhaps, it's a one-word catchy name and that domesticity is as hard to pronounce as it is to spell. I wanted to go back to that domain, to that name, to that old blogging Queen B that people knew. But as I went back to my purpose of why I did a rebrand, I instantly felt happy I chose to stick with Royal Domesticity. 

Allow me to explain.

Any family has its king and queen. Obviously, that's me and my husband in our small family of three. Thus, the use of the word royal. Royal can also mean fabulous, extraordinary, beyond the norm, special, etcetera. And when you Google domesticity, it means home or family life. It's very easy to figure things out actually but one more thing that I like about it is that R and D are my and my husband's initials. So nice, right? Our marriage had been tested many a time already. But whenever I think of why I worked so hard to build a family for my girl, that's when I knew that I can't give up that easily. Although there were days when I really, really want to. Jeez. Well, to be a bit more personal, I draw some strength from this blog. I don't think I can ever share stuff about me, my work, my business and mothering if my marriage sucks big time. 

Just like the dishes that I cook, I want my life completos recados. I thought and decided that if I'd manage my time well with work and business and blogging or if I'd fix the way I talk to my daughter, I should also do the same with my marriage. R has to cooperate, though. Wish me luck.
