Moving On, Moved In

Oh, hello. I'm blogging.

I really didn't intend to take the blogcation that long but my life events overwhelmed me I just needed to. You see, I lost Pepper. She was the first pet that we took in our royal leased kingdom. I gave her a name, fed her, disciplined her, R bathed her whenever he can, Sophia played with her as if they were sisters. We loved her.

The only thing I regret was I put her in a cage and let her stay outside the house. I took the blame though no one ever said I should. My husband tried to find her, almost didn't sleep but he still failed. It was one of the saddest moments of our lives as a couple, as pet parents. Pia saw how I awfully un-managed the incident. I crushed. The woman she gets strength from every day was collapsing in front of her like a hollow pillar. And so it dawned on me... I needed to gather myself and move on.

R and I came to a mutual decision: We need to move out.

Thankfully, through my mommy community, we found this 104-square meter 1988 bungalow somewhere near our old apartment. It's spacious enough for all our things and I like that we now have our own garage and a mango tree! We're still renting but I felt the moment I saw it that we'll last here until we can finally buy our own. Wow, how good that felt! Dreams, oh dreams.

Sigh. I still think of the paw-retty princess once in a while; she'll always be special to me but I have already freed myself from self-pity, self-accusations and what-not. I believe that God allowed that to happen. Losing our royal canine had a purpose. Perhaps, He just really wanted us to move into a better home. Or maybe He wants us to realize that we should care more for the special people or things that we currently have and not be easily contented with whatever amount of love that we can give. It's true ― you never know what you have until you lose it.

Oh well, I just wanna say hi to you all. How are you royalties doing? I'm so back!

  5. Glad to see you have "moved on", no pun intended! :) Moving seems to stress a lot of people out, but for me, it's exciting. Welcome to your new home! Praying you are all settled in.
