Lovin' Hooks and DIY with Good Housekeeping and 3M Philippines

As a self-proclaimed domestic queen and Army wife (whose husband is not at home all the time), it's inevitable that I do 99% of the house chores ― laundry, dishwashing, changing light bulbs and even making pukpok some concrete nails on the wall to hang the curtain rod or framed photos. However, the latter will be quite a task for my weak arms. The last time I attempted to do such, I hit my thumb! So I'm glad for products such as Command™'s Damage-Free Hanging Solutions by 3M.

In partnership with Good Housekeeping Magazine, 3M Philippines held the first leg of Get Hooked on DIY activation series at the Activity Center of SM Megamall  last April 13th. Hosted by Angel Jacob, the event was filled with interesting information shared by Good Housekeeping Editor-in-Chief Tisha Alvarez Angluben, 3M Philippines Consumer and Home Improvement Markets Division Product Manager Jermits Rabonza and brand ambassador Coni Tejada.

Coni Tejada, a home improvement expert and the blogger behind Travel Junkie Manila, gave tips on how we can spruce up our humble kingdoms without damaging its walls. I also learned from her that we can check the weight limit of a Command™ hook at the upper right corner of its packaging. Her tips were just very timely 'cause we will be moving in to our new home in the coming days and I'm sure the loot that I got from the event will come in handy. I actually won a gift pack just by posting on Instagram. Yay!

My bloggy friend, Mom on Duty, brought her Little Princess with her and so the event buddies were inseparable again. You might want to check Kim's post here to see the photo of our cuties. My little sketcher got bored when Kelly went out with her aunt so she sat by the stairs and doodled away.

We, my fellow members of Mommy Bloggers Philippines, had to attend another event but we decided to wait a bit as the Team Kramer power couple, Doug and Cheska, were there to share their fare on how they are as homemakers, DIYers and endorsers. In fact, when my little fangirl knew Kendra was there, too, she ran to the waiting area and peeked. Haha!

Thank you, GH Philippines and 3M for inviting our group. We learned a lot and had fun, too. :)
