Bebengisms Turns One: A Revelation

This is also a Thoughtful Tuesday, by the way.

I think some of you have raised your eyebrow (left or right?) when you started to notice that I keep on calling myself a queen. Before you judge me for being such a self-absorbed, egotistical and attention whore of a blogger, let me tell you one thing first --- you are correct.

Sardonically? No, that's the truth. I mean, what can your blog be without the attention you are craving for? An online hidden diary underneath a tree? We need readers, in order to even call ourselves, blogger. It gets me high when I receive compliments and so much flattery from random people. To be brutally honest, I'm loving it!

Aside from the ranking in Top Blogs Philippines and the reputation within this crazy little cyber world, these comments are like mozzarella cheese to my pizza. Mutant Ninja Turtle ata ako sa first life ko kasi pizza ang ultimate favorite food ko. Ohkaaaaay, so cutting the earlier craps, why would I ever label or brand or even think of myself as Queen?

WHY NOT?

My fellow queen behind The Lois Stories messaged me about this last Sunday, "If you want to marry a king, carry yourself like a queen", with matching side comment na "like what you did po". Pak to the highest level! ;) Kidding aside, to actually become one, you need to treat yourself as such. I am only a queen in this house, as a matter of fact.
But everytime that I make myself believe that
I AM A QUEEN,
things get a bit easier. Surprisingly.
The royalty treatment should come from you, first and foremost. This exercise could actually help you avoid fishing compliments (or crave for more?!). But really, it's true that what you feel inside can be seen outside. Di ba 'pag masakit tiyan mo, the worst that could happen to you is you fart na medyo basa? Oh di ba may trace sa undies yun? Haha! Ewwness. Ay siya, I know you my readers/royal subjects/chikamates are intellectual people, gets niyo na yan. #tamadmagexplain

And just like any queen, I can be mean, I have scandalous issues in life, I am not perfect --- but I am always fabulous. ♔

  1. i love this.:)

and Nanay B, you have every right to call your self a queen. You are the queen of your blog, castle (home) and your daughter is a princess which of course means she was born to a Queen.
At pak... tinamaan ako dun sa blog na walang reader. haha... it is in fact a hidden diary written underneath a tree. as much as I want more readers I don't have the resources or the time, kaya let's stay hidden for now.:)

keep on shining Nanay B... and from now on, I shall call you Queen B.:)
    kisses*

Hey, don't fret. I read your blog. You're even in my list of fellow queens no. So keep on writing. Promote it on your personal FB account if you don't have time to maintain a page. :)

  4. I will keep this in mind! I've been feeling extremely down lately (iniisip ko pa kung isha-share ko sa blog yun) so this post really helps.

    1. That's great Kim! We should not depend our happiness from other people. Tayo mismo dapat reyna-reynahan na ang peg. :)

  5. Siyempre pink po talaga yung toilet paper! Haha! Old rose pa ang shade. Natawa ako. :)

I really praise God for how that little motto has really changed the way I think of and carry myself... so glad that more women can empower themselves with it after reading this! I can tell that God will use your blog to affirm or remind women everywhere that they com from His royal family. :)

    1. That's quite a challenge, TL.
