Provincial Tour Part 1: Nueva Ecija

Two weeks had already passed since LB & I lived the barriotic way, but I haven't shared with you on how we spent it. To make the little girl's sembreak worth it, we went to Nueva Ecija from October 23 to October 27 to celebrate my kumare's daughter's 1st birthday party. Please allow the photos to tell you our story. But wait, dahil madaldal ako by nature, I will make side comments. :D

Super arte. Kanino kaya 'to nagmana?
Thank you Tito Gq (Rhambo's mistah) for picking us up at home.

Ayan, she has to change shirt na at dahil high na siya sa pagod, pinainom niya pati ang t-shirt niya ng pineapple juice. I was so stressed drilon kasi naka-park lang kami sa NAIA Terminal 1, while waiting for kumare's BIL na galing ng Dubai, so ang layo sa may tubig. Good thing I brought enough wet wipes.

When she asked me where we're heading to kasi nga we went out of the house at around 1pm and we still haven't reached our destination, I told her "we'll be at a place where you can see lots of goats, carabao and chickens". Ayan, yan ang naging posing niya. We arrived at my kumare's house in Lupao, Nueva Ecija around 4 in the morning. Hihi.

Bengoloids, please meet LB's kinakapatid -- Quincie Elyanna M. Ramos --- aka Yanna. She just turned 1 last Oct29.

That's my kumare buying more candies for her DIY loot bags for Yanna's 1st ORANGE birthday party. We went to the dry market section of San Jose to buy dino eggs, jelly ace at kung anu-ano pang bilog or mukhang itlog na candy.

Iskeri. Hindi ko binili, ang baho ng loob.

The following photos were shot in Tito Gq's ancestral house. That's where his paternal grandmother lives. I love her garden kaya eto, feeling Hallmark photographer ako. Good thing may konting hamog that morning kaya bonggels the flowers.

And then we went back to my kumare's house (where her family lives). LB got the chance to bond with Joaquin (Yanna's cousin) and other kids there, Harlene & CJ.

Nakatulog si LB this day when we decided to be left at home while kumare & her family went to SM (don't know which town) to buy clothes and some things for Yanna's big day.

That's where we slept, ate breakfast & took our baths. So one morning, these Ramos kids dropped by to visit their Lola. And to their surprise, my little darling was there playing.

At dahil nagpaiwan ulit kami kasi maraming ganap sila kumare in preparation for the kwek-kwek party, lumanghap muna kami ng sariwang hangin ng probinsya.

Oppa Gangnam Style daw. Saan na naman niya nakuha 'to?!

Malungkot ang bagets, umambon kasi. Kaya dapat pumasok na kami. We took a bath agad-agad kasi sinundo na kami niyan nina kumare at rarampa kami muli sa palengke! :)

Yummy this one. It's dayap-flavored. Super thank you, mare! :)

That's an army soap kit. Meaning, Rhambo's with us na.

October 27. Yanna's Catholic baptism & orange/egg-themed party. It's really a pleasure for anyone hosting a party that the people you invited went to it garbed in outfit you asked them to wear. My kumare asked her guests to wear anything white or orange  for both events. And a lot of us did.

Magjowa, nagde-date sa simbahan. Hihi
Kumare & I.
Daddy Gq, Mommy Chique & Baby Yanna

After the baptism, siyempre reception na. Meaning, lafang. :) I can't wait to eat. Kasi I remembered nung 1st birthday party ni LB, hindi ako nakakain. As in sumubo ako ng ilan, pero wala talaga akong gana. :)

My little girl helped us put the cupcake toppers.
So she has to have a photo beside the cake arrangement.

My husband doesn't like serious shots, especially when he's with his friends.

They were not bastos.

Sophia enjoyed her cupcake & spaghetti first before finally joining the other kids for a short magic show by the clowns. She didn't fancy being interviewed by them. "I'm scared, Nanay!" May tanungan portion pa kasi. Then the clowns had their baon na punchlines.

The other clown gave LB a pink puppy-shaped balloon, na pumutok din kagad dahil nga "most behaved" ang litol popstar.

The food was okay, nothing special; but it's not something that you would say as not masarap. Like what I said, gutom ako kaya walang pictures. Nabusog nga ako as in. At maraming choices, which is a must sa handaan. I only had pictures of the lechon and the chocolate fountain though.

Here's Rhambo & Tito Gq in a pose that made their term of endearment kinda true. They call each other PUFFY. The absolute colossal nerve. Haha!

Then konting chika-chika before heading back to the Ramos' land in San Antonio Este. Sophia didn't want to go anywhere near the clowns so ang mudra na lang ang nagpa-picture. Bakit nga ba nasa sahig kami? Anong meron?

LB found a toy vampire teeth in her loot bag & wore it, scaring her Tatay. Sakto naman, Halloween kiyeme.

Because Rhambo had to attend a seminar in Fort Magsaysay days prior the event, he brought his service vehicle. They call it K-M or Kia. For LB, it's Tatay's car.

While killing time, relaxing & enjoying the scenery a la Farmville, I took these shots kasi frustrated DSLR owner ako. Labyu, Bebeng. Heehee.

And oh, the boys (okay, men!) feel something is kulang when there's no inuman. Tito Gq & Rhambo had a few drinks with Rhambo's men (who came with him from Fort Magsaysay).

Inuman sila, chikahan kami. I know how tired kumare was because she did all the preparation by herself. Everything was DIY. No party planner whatsoever. Magkumare nga kami, just like what I did for LB's 1st birthday party. And guess what, she's on her 1st trimester infanticipating! Galing noh. But of course, she wouldn't be able to do all of those without the support of her husband, mom, dad, sisters & the rest of her extended family. I tried my best to help a bit, too. In the middle of the celebration, I hugged her & told her that the orange cum egg party went out really well. If she wasn't preggo & I didn't had my operation, baka nag-inuman din kami! :)

Ngarag na, I know.
Kumare's friend came & brought this for me, as per kumare's bilin.
Yes, super sarap. :p
Hihi. Chikahan din sila kunwari.
Well, more on pangungulit ni Ate Pia kay Yanna.

But of course, we can't stay there forever. We needed to go as Tatay Rhambo had to report back to work. And he tagged us along to his camp in Zambales! Yay! We rode the Kia & traveled like what, almost 5 hours.  If we were not with my husband's security & care, I wouldn't dare travel at night. It's not a wise mommy move. Kaya hindi ako nakatulog nung biyahe namin from Manila to NE eh.

This is what I munched on while traveling. Colorful flavored pastillas.

Anyway, we got there safe & sound of course. Charoooot. Oo na, girl na girl na ako. Provincial Tour Part 2: Zambales, soon!
