Foodpanda Delivery saved the day!

Unabashedly, I want to let you know that I'm one of those moms, who can make you feel inferior about your domestic skills. I brag about and am proud of that on my Instagram's #bebengcooks posts so yes, you can roll your eyes as long as you like. Heehee. Anyway, I may not know all the bourgeois cuisines as I am a big fan of Filipino foods but yes, I incredibly know my way in the kitchen. However, there are lazy days. Many lazy days, to be honest.

When that inevitable feeling happens to this self-proclaimed domestic queen, I don't fight with it. I'm too lazy to even argue with my conscience. Sometimes, I pop out some meat loaf from a can, dice it, saute it with tomato sauce and mix it with cooked pasta. If I have extra budget, I dial-a-friend. My bff's name is Ronald, the one with the big red shoes. I love the nearest branch's fast service and the flat rate delivery charge! We love Ronald and his world. In fact, my daughter loves him than the bee. OK, not the actual mascot, though ('cause R's kinda scary haha). BUT. One day I decided to dial another friend.

I was feeling adventurous. I searched for Foodpanda Philippines

Guess what? They deliver to my humble neighborhood. Hallelujah! I first chose Bacolod Chk-n-BBQ House since I was craving for anything grilled. Sadly, after like 20 minutes of ordering from the website, I received a call from the Foodpanda customer service and they told me that the restaurant was not offering their delivery services to my area. The agent was a bit disappointed, too since she was told late; therefore, has notified me late as well. I then proceeded to go back at one and ordered again.

I went to the Foodpanda Philippines' website. It also has an app available for iOS and Android users. I personally think the latter's more convenient to use so better if you download it first.

I typed in our location at the spaces provided for and hit "find restaurants". During the time I ordered, which was some weeks ago, there were 5 restaurants available. Unfortunately, only two were left as of this post.

Tropical Hut was in the list then. It was the nearest to our place and thought delivery will be as fast as Ronald's (it took a little longer but I was more excited than complaining). I filled out a registration form for the delivery address and other contact details. Upon the completion of our online order, I received a call for its confirmation. Like I said, delivery time took a little longer but I felt that it's better to wait than bathe, dress up, travel and get stuck in traffic just to eat. And oh, since it was my birthday month last month, I got a Php200 off code from their Twitter peeps. ♥♥♥

Thank you, Foodpanda for saving this kitchen diva's day!

  4. Can I order from more than 1 restaurant and then do a 1-time checkout? Like if I want the twister fries from Ronald but a burger from bee?

  5. I usually have food delivered to the office but have to look for the numbers one by one. Now with Food Panda, it's going to be just a one stop portal for all food deliveries no? :)
