Review: Twinings Green Tea

It is because of this photo that I decided to make tea a mainstay character in our grocery cupboard. I am not afraid to get old, you know. It is to look old that I am so not looking forward to. Then like a few days after that, I received a box of Twinings tea that contains two of each variant. For this post, I would do a review of the four of their six green tea: Pure Green Tea, Green Tea & Cranberry, Green Tea & Lemon, and Green Tea and Mint.

Where do you think could I buy a white tea cup with a pink crown printed on it? ♡

Pure Green Tea. I am not sure about how a regular tea-drinker does it, but I added a teaspoon of white sugar to my cup of tea. It proved to me its purity; I felt like sipping a boiled bark of a tree. But yeah, it tastes like nature.

Green Tea and Cranberry. It still tastes like pure green tea, only with the aroma of cranberry. It was a hot & humid afternoon that I decided to put ice cubes in it and more sugar. Refreshing! My favorite among the four.

Green Tea and Lemon. This thrilled me while I was still boiling water. I was super tired from all the house chores that I was really craving for something to soothe my senses. Massage is far from possibility. So I settled with having a cup of Twinings. But this variant failed me. I smelled dishwashing liquid the moment I opened the wrapper. Its tanginess is not meant for my simple palate. I still finished it 'till its last drop though.

Green Tea and Mint. If the latter smells like a dishwashing liquid, this definitely smells like toothpaste! Yes, it is that funny that you'd definitely feel like you just have brushed your teeth after drinking this. Nevertheless, this variant was my buddy earlier while I'm focused on my "work": laundry.

I'm very excited to try the other variants --- I still have 7 kinds to try on! What's your favorite Twinings tea?

Disclosure: I received these items in exchange of an honest review.

  6. I prefer the green tea with cranberry scent. It's sometimes boring to drink tea but with a scent like that, it can definitely change your mood.

  11. I always love to drink tea especially in the morning. I preferred to drink it than coffee because tea has lots of nutrients to offer. I love green tea too but mostly i love to drink mango tea.
